[January 13, 2026, China] – OPTO-EDU, an optical instrument company specializing in microscopes, has launched its new professional-grade A10.2602 darkfield microscope for high-contrast darkfield observation. This microscope combines a 5W high-brightness LED enhanced illumination source with an integrated oil immersion darkfield condenser (NA 1.3), significantly improving the clarity and detail of transparent, low-refractive index, and unstained samples.
The A10-2602 features a Seidentopf trinocular head with 360° rotation and 30° inclination, and dual WF10X/20mm high-eyepoint eyepieces for a more comfortable and flexible viewing experience. Its key feature is the integrated oil immersion darkfield condenser (NA 1.3), which, combined with the powerful 5W LED light source, achieves true "dark background, bright specimen" imaging, ideal for observing live microorganisms, diatoms, colloidal particles, fibers, and other samples that are difficult to observe under ordinary brightfield microscopes.
The high-performance optical system offers both flexibility and powerful expandability. It is equipped with infinity-corrected plan achromatic objectives, including PLAN 4X, 10X, 20X, 40X, and a darkfield 100X/1.25 oil immersion objective, covering a wide range of applications from macroscopic screening to high-magnification detailed analysis. The Köhler illumination system with field diaphragm uses a safe low-voltage power supply (100-240V wide voltage input) and a portable power supply, suitable for both laboratory and field use. The trinocular port features a standard 0.5X adjustable C-mount interface, allowing easy connection to digital cameras or high-definition cameras for image acquisition, remote teaching, and AI-assisted analysis.
